To commemorate the outstanding achievements of Mr. Sun Xunfang, who is a famous mechanic and educator in China, and to inherit and develop the educational spirit of Mr. Sun Xunfang and bring up more excellent mechanical talents for our country, the School of Mechanics and Engineering established the "Sun Xunfang Education Foundation of Southwest Jiaotong University" in conjunction with all sectors of society. At the same time, Sun Xunfang scholarship of Southwest Jiaotong University is set up to award undergraduates and postgraduates majoring in mechanics in Southwest Jiaotong University who are excellent in character and learning.
I. The Selection Scope
Full-time undergraduate and graduate students in School of Mechanics and Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University.
II. The Number and Amount of Rewards
Once a year, there are 6 undergraduates (including 2 students from Mao Yisheng class) and 2 postgraduates, and the reward amount is 2,000 yuan per person.
III. The Selection Conditions
1．Love the motherland, good moral quality, abide by the school rules and regulations;
2．Love your major, once participated in the mechanical competition and won the prize, or have an in-depth study in the academic, intense scientific research ability and innovative spirit, and achieved good results;
3．Actively participate in social work, comprehensive performance is excellent;
4．Poor students with good character and learning are preferred.
IV. The Selection Method
1．The student himself should submit a written application, and the candidate list will be recommended after discussion and approval by the Class members and counselor.
2．The Sun Xunfang Scholarship Selection Committee of Southwest Jiaotong University will review and select the candidate list and publicize the selection results;
3．If there is no objection, it shall be submitted to the University Special Scholarship Evaluation Committee for examination and approval.
4．The final award list of Sun Xunfang Scholarship of Southwest Jiaotong University shall be submitted to Sun Xunfang Education Foundation of Southwest Jiaotong University for the record.
