The Mechanic 1985 Graduate student Alumni Fund Scholarship is founded by the graduates of grade 1985 of the School of Mechanics and Engineering in Southwest Jiaotong University when they hold the Returning-to-university. Commemoration Day of Enrollment for 30 years, on July 3, 2015. This scholarship supports college students with economic difficulties who love their alma mater, teachers, charity, social responsibility, and excellent academic performance. All the graduates of grade 1985 hope that the scholarship recipients will carry forward the mechanics of Southwest Jiaotong University, maintaining a specific leadership at home and abroad, and create more outstanding mechanics talents for the country.

3. Selection of Award Winners
1) Love the country, love the school, respect the teachers, have a strong sense of professionalism and social responsibility, have excellent moral quality, and have no bad habits such as smoking, alcoholism, and game addiction;
2) Love the major you are studying, and the major ranks in the top 30%;
3) Applicants who have participated in the mechanic's competition and won awards, or have in-depth academic research and have achieved certain results, owning strong scientific research ability and innovative spirit are prioritized;
4) Have active social engagement and excellent overall performance;
5) Participate in the college's family financial difficulties identification work and be identified as students with family financial difficulties. Priority will be given to those who have applied for federal student loans.
4. Application Process
1) In October of each year, undergraduates who meet the requirements of the award should submit written applications, transcripts, and other supporting materials to the student working group of the School of Mechanics and Engineering;
2) After being reviewed by the student working group of the School of Mechanics and Engineering, the award-winning candidates will be determined at a ratio of 1:2, and there will be no objections to the public to submit the candidate list to the "The Mechanic 1985 Graduate student Alumni Fund Scholarship" scholarship committee for review;
3) The scholarship committee of "The Mechanic 1985 Graduate student Alumni Fund Scholarship" will review the candidate list, determine the list of winners this year, and publicize the selection results;
4) After publicizing that there is no objection, apply to the school special scholarship review committee for approval;
5) 5) The final list of winners of The Mechanic 1985 Graduate student Alumni Fund Scholarship will be submitted to the Foundation of The Mechanic 1985 Graduate student Alumni Fund Scholarship for the record.
